Ryan Seacrest and Simon Cowell have got some beef! And I must say this is kind of shocking but not really.
When you look at the big picture Simon’s star kind of dropped and Ryan’s star rose big time. Ryan had his own daytime talk show. He has a successful radio show. He has successful tv shows and producer credits to his name, and what more could you ask for.
Simon hasn’t done bad for himself either. He’s got the British version of American Idol blowing up, and he signed Leona Lewis to his record label, and she was a huge international hit. But Simon has still not surpassed the success of Ryan Seacrest.
Ryan Seacrest claims Simon Cowell is jealous of his success. He says he “believes that Simon Cowell is unhappy with his ever-expanding career.”
“If anything in my life is positive in terms of business, Simon actually feels a pain in his stomach or his side.”
Simon should really grow up and stop sippin’ on haterade. Don’t hate. CONGRATULATE!
Gwyneth Paltrow is the new “celebeauty” under fire with PETA.
Gwyneth posed in animal skin for Italian designer Tod’s. The pictorial featured Gwyneth in fur-lined boots.
A PETA spokesperson says they sent Gwyneth videos and letters showing the suffering animals endure through the process of the fur trade.
PETA went on further to completely bash Gwyneth’s entire lifestyle. They even attacked her parenting skills.
The spokesperson continued their rant saying, “Gwyneth Paltrow won’t be the apple of her daughter’s eye if she continues to flaunt fur.”
“It’s a terrible example to set for a young child, promoting an industry that electrocutes animals, snaps their necks and skins them alive.”
“There is nothing feminine about inserting an electrode into the anus of a terrified and struggling fox and then electrocuting it.”
“Ms. Paltrow is an actress - and seemingly a particularly stupid one at that.”
Here is my take on this… PETA stands for a really good cause. But there execution (no pub intended) is really messed up. They need to stop going around acting like the Pet Protection Nazi’s.
On the other hand, Gwyneth should’ve known better. She’s a vegan and has a huge reputation against animal cruelty. She should’ve known PETA would attack her for this. It’s really sad. She’s apparently lost some friends over this fiasco, including Moby and Stella McCartney.
Hopefully this doesn’t really get out of hand. I’m sure she’ll agree to do a PSA (Public Service Announcement) for PETA like Martha Stewart did, and then she’ll regain her reputation. This sounds really rediculous. It’s almost more rediculous than politics.
Christina Applegate says she is ”100 per cent free” of cancer.
Christina announced her diagnosis earlier this month and the story has been featured all over the place. She was even on the cover of People Magazine. Unfortunately it wasn’t for better circumstances.
When asked about her initial thoughts after diagnosis Christina said, “I was so mad and I just remember I was shaking. And then also immediately, I had to go into the ‘take-care-of-business-mode.”
“I asked them, ‘What do I do now? What – what is it that I do? I get a doctor, I get a surgeon, I get an oncologist? What do I do?”
Christina’s mother also battled and survived breast cancer which gave Christina hope. Christina’s exact treatment hasn’t been revealed but she says she changed her diet to be 100% macrobiotical. “I immediately made those appointments and immediately called around for someone to start teaching me how to live macrobiotically.”
A macrobiotic diet consists primarily of fish, beans and vegetables, and avoids processed foods. If this is the secret to getting rid of breast cancer, the word should probably be spread. That’s kind of a “big deal.” If it worked for Christina it can probably work for others. Hopefully she stays cancer free.
“It’s rainin’ rainin…’ Ohh baby it’s rainin.” It’s rainin’ alright. It’s raining cats and dogs for Rihanna. The latest news on the rumor mill is that Rihanna has fired her manager Patricia Williams under speculation of theft!
Patricia is “livid” and says she’s been fired “for no good reason, all in ignorance.”
Word on the street is that Rihanna recently met with her former business manager to check out her funds and much to Rihanna’s surprise, she had less than $20,000.
When asked about the theft accusation, Patricia Williams said, “It’s not my fault that she only has $20,000 to her name.”
This is all pretty shocking and hopefully it gets worked out soon! $20,000 to her name! How is that possible?
Reality tv is tv nowadays. Over 60% of tv programming on cable/satellite tv consists of reality tv-based shows. The interesting thing is that the shows are not actually reality at all. They’re scripted to a degree. But we all know that already.
MTV’s The Real World was the first main stream reality tv show success. Since then, there’s been reality tv shows based on almost every facet of life.
The newest trend is reality shows for celebrity has-beens. This to me is the most ridiculous reality tv format. If your Hollywood star has fallen, be graceful and do something else. Instead Denise Richards, Pamela Anderson, Flava Flav, Brett Michaels, Rev Run, and so many more celebrities get a second chance at fame for some strange reason.
Reality tv has a weird way of sucking you in. I don’t know about you, but I’m guilty of watching reality tv. I find my self sitting there and cursing at how stupid the shows are, but like a moron I sit there and continue to watch. Do you have this problem? Maybe I’m just suffering from an extreme case of bitchassness. Ok… This is getting off subject and is starting to sound like one big rant.
Back to the subject at hand…

Eww Gross! Hillary Duff was caught by the paparazzi in this pic on her way onto the film set for the new Predator sequel.
The plot for the new film takes place on a Martian space colony. Hillary’s character becomes attracted to The Predator and they breed a new species of hybrid Predamans.
The film director thought Hillary would play her character the best due to her striking resemblance to The Predator.
Ok. Hold up… This is all a joke. Except for this part… Hillary has a striking resemblance to The Predator.
Gotta love make-up. It does wonders. LOL! Maybe she should’ve put some on this day.
After public scrutiny of Jennifer Love Hewitt’s fat pics that were exposed from her Hawaii vacation last year, she’s decided to lose weight, but she says it’s not because of the rude remarks. Jennifer says she “wanted to start moving around because she thought it would make her feel better.”
Maybe so, but I don’t believe the hype. That sounds like Hollywood talk to me. Moving around means just that, you move around and get active. “Moving around” doesn’t mean you do 4 - 1 hour long workouts 4 days a week with celebrity personal trainer Stevie Sant’Angelo. That sounds like someone trying to get into shape really quickly to put the “fat rumors” to rest.
I think the media should’ve left Jennifer’s weight alone. She looked like a real woman. What they should’ve focused on was her silly pants. Just look at her shorts in her fat pic above and to the left. She’s completely out of order.
I don’t know about you, but I’m not digging her new look. She looks like a bobble-head. I think she lost too much weight.
In case you care about the much talked about Britney Spears 2008 VMA ads, we’ve posted them here. I really don’t get the point of the ads. Hopefully they’re not an indication of the VMA’s. If so, I will be tuning out.
P.S. Who the f**k is Russell Brand. I’m sick of this British invasion. Are Americans no longer good enough to host American TV. The Brits host EVERYTHING NOW. Especially everything on MTV. We outsource tech jobs in America to India, and apparently TV show hosting has gotten outsourced to Britain now. Is the recession really that bad. WTF?!?!
