Entrepreneur and newly discovered connoisseur Dr. Dre is releasing a premium Cognac and Vodka under the umbrella of his rap label/company Aftermath; and the time couldn’t be any better. He’s releasing the premium liquor the day of his much anticipated album release Detox.
It’s been 9 years since we’ve banged a record from Dre, and if Detox is going to be anything like Dre’s newly transformed body… It’ll be ill. I imagine Dre cut up his physique for the promotion of the new album.
I’m not to keen on these “celeb-preneurs” doing these liquor deals, but I guess if it works go for it. Money is money right? As long as you’re not a fake, phony bastard like Trump, pushing liquor you actually drink is pretty cool. Trump sells “premium vodka,” and here’s the ridiculous part… he doesn’t even drink alcohol, and he never has a day in his life.
Rosie was right, Trump is a “snake-oil salesman.” But anyways, enough about him. Back to the Dr…

This has been a rough couple of years for Britney Spears. She’s gone bald by choice, attacked paparazzi, lost custody of her kids, battled a bitter divorce, gained massive weight, flashed her cooter to the world, leaked a sex tape, and much more.

50 Cent has put a permanent end to baby mama drama. He recently bought the right’s to his baby mama’s (Shaniqua Tompkins) life story. How do you do that you might ask? Who the hell knows.
As far as the legal jargon is concerned, 50 bought Shaniqua’s right to publish any “tell-all” book about him.
In an interview, 50 had this to say, “I bought the rights to her life story so she couldn’t write a book. I seen her being ridiculous; I knew her capabilities of going in that direction, so I bought the rights.”
This was a really smooth and calculated plan by 50. He paid her off before the book publishers got to her. They probably would’ve screwed her anyway. In the end, they both got a good deal out of it.
Britney Spears has been chosen for an MTV VMA Award this year for best female video for Piece of me.
It’s not known yet rather Britney will perform at this years’ VMA’s. We all remember her horrible performance in Vegas at last years’ VMA’s. If Britney does perform, I hope she comes with her A-game. It’ll be a good way for her to reclaim her throne as Pop Princess.
Hopefully, Britney will finally win an award this year. She’s been jipped every other time she’s been nominated previously.

Now we all know that hip-hop is all made-up fairy tales but damn, Rick Ross is just a plain liar! I’m sure you’ve heard by now that there’s allegations that Rick was a former prison guard.
He hasn’t spoken up much, but he’s denied the allegations.
His industry home boys didn’t have much to say either except good luck. So what’s the future for Rick Ross?
There’s no doubt that Rick’s rhymes are dope; and since 80% of hip-hop music is purchased from white suburban kids, they probably don’t care much about his street-cred. They just wanna hear the dope lyrics.
He’ll probably ultimately end up straight commercial. Who knows… We’ll just have to wait until he speaks up.
Wanna date Miley Cyrus? Well now you can. Kinda. But not really.
Miley Cyrus is auctioning herself on eBay for her grandmother’s charity for underprivileged kids. The main stream media has made this out to be bigger than it really is, as they always do.
The actual agreement is that the highest bidder will get a meet and great, pictures with Miley, a Disney resort package for 3 days and a few other goodies.
Nas’ new album entitled: Untitled has stolen the crown from Lil Wayne’s number #1 reign. Nas’ album debuted on the billboard charts with 181,000 albums sold, while Lil Wayne dropped back at 107,000.
This comes after one week of Weezy regaining his #1 position over Coldplay.
But all’s well and ends well. Nas’ measly 181,000 debut is nothing compared to Lil Wayne’s million album selling debut, plus Miley Cyrus is expected to blow Nas away when her album drops next week.
Untitled is Nas’ fourth #1 debut. But I don’t think it’s very noteworthy. Untitled’s debut sold only half as much as Nas’ previous album Hip Hop is Dead; which debuted with 354,000 albums sold. Despite the album sells, Untitled is HOTT!!! Nas brings his A-Game as usual and spits his elaborate flowetry of hip-hop and politics.
Nas’ camp has always been solid at creating hype and buzz over new albums, but unfortunately like 50 said, Nas is too street. He’ll never reach main stream rap status.
To me, that’s a good thing. He keeps it hood where rap music originates. Leave the commercialism to sell-outs like 50.
Nelly and Joss Stone dating? Yep that’s right. Nelly’s black, she’s white. (duh) He’s an American, she’s British. He’s 33, she’s 21… And the list of differences goes on.
I must say, this is a weird couple. Nelly always has big booty black girls in all of his videos, and he’s created this persona around busty black women. He even owns a clothing line dedicated to big booty black women. It’s Apple Bottoms as if you didn’t already know.
Now I’m not here to hate or drop any racial concerns, although I know many people will; but there’s some divine differences between Nelly and Joss Stone that makes their relationship just plain weird.
Now I know what you may be thinking. This is a publicity stunt right? Wrong. Apparently Nelly and Joss have been on several dates and have been trying to keep their relationship under wraps. I’m not sure why, although I’m pretty sure Nelly’s camp is concerned about racial backlash. Especially from black women. I can just hear it now, “Nelly’s a sellout.”
Joss doesn’t seem to be concerned. Nelly’s not her first black love interest. Before Nelly, she was tied to Beau Dozier, the son of Motown Records singer/song writer Lamont.
Joss has cleared a large portion of her schedule for the rest of the year so that she can spend more time with Nelly.
I hope they don’t deal with too much negative bull shit from their relationship, and I wish them the best.
