There’s some major buzz moving around Hollywood right now. The Batman or Dark Knight Sequel (who knows what they’ll call it yet) hasn’t even began production yet, and has no set date to even begin doing so. There isn’t a script, a storyline, or anything.
But there’s already some major speculation about the next movie’s villain(s). Here’s the latest scoop.
If The Penguin is the next villain, he will more than likely be played by Phillip Seymour Hoffman. If The Riddler is the next villain, he will more than likely be played by Johnny Depp. And last but certainly not least… Cat Woman will be played by Angelina Jolie.
There’s no doubt in my mind that these character groups won’t come to life. All three won’t be in the same movie, but my guess is this… Cat Woman and Penguin will be in the next movice much like Batman Returns, followed by The Riddler. That would make the most sense, but seeing as how the new Batman film crew screwed up the whole new series and killed off Two-Face in 30 minutes, you never know. They probably won’t go in sequential order
The moment we’ve all been waiting for is here. Batman: The Dark Knight will be released in theaters nationwide tomorrow: Friday July 18th, 2008. Everyone go see it and make it the BIGGEST grossing movie of all-time!
Who was the last black super hero you remember? I can’t think of any besides Shaft and Aquaman. And those two are both questionable. Shaft was a mere mortal, so he doesn’t really qualify as a super hero and Aquaman was a side kick to the side kick; so he never really got any play.
This summers’ super hero movie: Hancock isn’t getting very great reviews by movie critics, and it has many speculating rather it will be Will Smith’s first commercial movie failure. I don’t care how bad the movie might be, Will Smith and failure just don’t belong in the same category.
Will’s always defied the odds and there’s quite a lot of things many people don’t know about the veteran actor. Will Smith won over film makers for many of his biggest blockbuster hits, which were originally casted for white actors. Some of those movies included: Men in Black, Independence Day, and Bad Boys. Can you imagine those movies without Will. They wouldn’t be nearly as funny. They would just plain suck!
One thing to note about movie critics is that you can typically always bet the opposite. So when they say a movie isn’t any good, you can almost guarantee it’ll be excellent. And when they say a movie is excellent, you can guarantee it won’t be any good.
One thing for sure is, no matter what the movie is like, Will will bring his A’ game and turn out a crowd pleaser. I’m still not sure how the movie could be very bad. It has an all-star cast: Will Smith, Charlize Theron, and Jason Bateman. What more could you ask for?
American History X posters: American History X was an iconic film depiction of racial tension at its highest in California. This film starred Edward Norton and Edward Furlong. The two were brothers in the movie; Norton being the older brother to Furlong. Furlong’s character dreamed of being like his big brother Derek Vinyard (Edward Norton). Derek was the leader of the new neo nazi movement in Long Beach, California. On one grim stricken night, Derek showed his true dedication to the cause and made a decision that changed his life forever. If you haven’t seen this movie… Watch it. It launched Edward Norton’s career into the mainstream and solidified him as a Hollywood heavy weight. The best part of the movie was the director and the music composition. You feel every raw emotion of each scene when the music rolls in. American History X was astounding. This American History X poster is also astounding, and it’ll make a great addition to any movie buffs media room, or even just a wall poster in the bedroom of an Edward Norton fan. Whichever category you may fit under, it just works… So get it.
Star Wars posters: Star Wars was an iconic movie that broke all kinds of barriers. It redefined science fiction and created the world’s strongest and longest lasting fans, not to mention franchises. The Star Wars empire has spawned 6 major film releases, dozens of comics and books, and hundreds of toys and collectibles.
